Mike “Gentleman” Ejeagha, a renowned highlife singer, met with Nigerian comedian Brain Jotter.
The song “Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche” by Ejeagha became well-known recently after Brain Jotter utilized it as the background music for his viral dancing moves.
Participants in the dance face different ways, approach one another, do a comical leg dance, and then chase one another to the chorus of “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo.”
By July 21, Brain Jotter’s initial Instagram video of the dance, which was posted on July 5, had received almost one million likes.
Similar videos have received a ton of views on TikTok.
More than a thousand recreations of the fad have been posted on TikTok, where a large number of Nigerians—including celebrities—have joined in.
Brain Jotter tweeted on Sunday that he wanted to meet Mike Ejeagha.
Since then, the change has been well received, and many people are appreciative of Brain Jotter’s thoughtfulness.
He posted a picture of himself with the highlife icon on Instagram on Monday, expressing his happiness over the encounter and teasing a possible narrative.
In a picture, he was sitting next to Mike Ejeagha with his hand resting on his shoulder. He wrote, “So happy i did this,” as the caption. Story will be released soon.
