…Receives prayers from delegates
The frontline aspirant for the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency seat in the forthcoming 2023 General election, Barr. Godwin Offiono aka GOFFIO today, hosted Delegates of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) from ward to Chapter levels of Ogoja and Yala LGAs.
The event which took place at Santus Hotel and Resorts, Okuku Yala LGA, Cross River State, afforded the aspirant and his team another opportunity to interact with leaders and executives of the party from the 24-Ward of the federal constituency.
Speaking during the event, Pst. John Naku, Director General of the Godwin Offiono consultation train, thanked the delegates for their commitment to the party and their resolve to support Goffio’s aspiration, stating that Goffio is PDP’s surest flagbearer that can deliver Ogoja/Yala to PDP in the forthcoming elections.”
He added that, GOFFIO has remained an upright and just man with requisite capacity to represent the people on the floor of the green chamber when voted in as Member of Parliament representing the good people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency. He further stated that, Distinguished Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District has demonstrated true leadership in the region with his unmatched and incomparable representation and Goffio is the right person to fit into the big shoe left by the Distinguished Senator.
The aspirant while speaking, thanked the party leaders, executives and stakeholders for their continuous support in his quest to represent the Federal Constituency.
He further stated that, his vision of contributing to the upliftment of the living standard of the people remains topmost on his list of priorities.
“I’m once again seeking to represent you at the House of Representatives because i believe i am better positioned to represent the good people of this Federal Constituency”
“The magical representation by Sen. Jarigbe Agom is what I’ve understudied over the years and i will be putting all the experiences and knowledge I’ve gathered from the Distinguished Senator into making sure my stay in the Green chamber is felt positively across the federal constituency” he added.
Also speaking during the event, Mr. Canice Ebiamu, Wanihem Ward Chairman, and Chairman of Chairmen in the 14-ward of Yala LGA, commended the spirit of patriotism and sportsmanship Displayed by Barr. GOFFIO specifically during the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency by-election 2022. He also onbehalf of all the ward Chairmen of Yala chapter, pledged to give Barr. Godwin Offiono the maximum support he requires.
Chapter Chairmen of Yala and Ogoja and their Exco members, ward exco members from the 24-wards of Ogoja/Yala, High Chief John Alaga, Aspirant, Ogoja state Constituency, Sir Okpe Simon Idagu, Madam Regina Lifu, Hon. Sylvanus Akrah, Hon. Mary, Mr Otis amongst others were all in attendance.
Also, the aspirant, Barr. Godwin Offiono was rounded and prayed for by all attendees.
