Sunday, 30th of January, the State Chairman of our great party, PDP, Hon. Barr. Venatius Ikem, celebrated an epoch-making thanksgiving at St. Charles Parish Obudu Local Government Area. The Thanksgiving Ceremony which was in commemoration of God’s goodness upon the life of the State Party Chairman and his family members, had in attendance Stakeholders and Leaders of our great Party across the State.
Speaking during the Thanksgiving Mass, the State Chairman expressed gratitude to God for showing him and his family unquantifiable goodness and to the Church for their support and prayers.
The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Thomas Onabe described the celebrant as a man that understands the goodness of God upon his life, while also admonishing the congregants to emulate the habit of thanksgiving.
Speaking at the Thanksgiving Mass, the Chairman of the occasion, His Excellency, Mr Donald Duke, former Governor of Cross River State, thanked the church for their great work of charity to both the State and humanity, reminiscing the role played by the Roman Catholic Church in Educational advancement in Nigeria, as him and many others were products of Catholic-owned schools. Speaking further, he described the Celebrant, Barr. Venatius Ikem as a man that loves God and his people, while calling for more prayers from the church.
Other dignitaries that spoke at the event includes but not limited to His Excellency, Barr. Efiok Cobham, Former Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Distinguished Senator Prof Sandy Ojang Onor, Representing Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Representing Cross River North Senatorial District.
