Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, has created a fuel-less generator, also known as an electricity generating plant. Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, the Polytechnic’s Rector, stated that the institution is dedicated to carrying out its mission of creating and advancing technology for entrepreneurship and resolving societal issues.
During the demonstration of the fuel-free power generation facility created by a group of polytechnic engineers, he stated this. He predicted that a sizable amount of the polytechnic’s energy requirements would be satisfied by the fuel-less generator.
The 2.5KVA fuel-less generator, according to the Rector, is self-sufficient and can run for hours on end without the need for solar power, fossil fuel, or biofuel. He added that it makes sense to market the invention to a global audience.
He maintains that Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara is committed to furthering science, technology, scholarship, and advanced research, and that the university employs the necessary number of highly qualified personnel.
He dedicated the invention to Sheriff Oborevwori, the governor of Delta State, for creating an environment that was favorable to learning, knowledge progress, intellectualism, and practical innovation.
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the Commissioner for Higher Education, the Commissioner for Science and Technology, and other relevant agencies will receive this innovation, according to Ufuophu-Biri, “for wider adoption, acceptability, and mass production for market value.”
The goal of research in science, technology, and humanities is to solve current issues. Thus, the invention of the fuel-less generator will assist in resolving the nation’s energy crisis issue if it is produced in large quantities.
