Official: Sevilla signs Ejuke, a winger from Nigeria

Sevilla has added Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke to their roster for the 2024–25 season on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old’s contract with CSKA Moscow ended, and he now signs a three-year deal with the Nervionenses through June 2027. He is coming to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium after spending time on loan with Royal Antwerp, a Belgian team.

“Sevilla FC has reached an agreement with the Nigerian footballer Chidera Ejuke to become a new player for the Nervionense team, joining García Pimienta’s squad as a free agent and signing for three seasons, until June 2027,” the club announced in an official statement posted on its website on Monday.

Before transferring to Heerenveen in the Netherlands, where he attracted the attention of CSKA Moscow with an outstanding return of 10 goals and 6 assists in 29 games during the 2019–20 season, Ejuke started his European career in Norway with Valerenga in 2017.

Before joining Royal Antwerp for the 2022–2023 season, the nimble winger played on loan at Hertha Berlin, where he finished with five goals and six assists in 39 games across all competitions. In addition, he has made four Champions League outings.

After rising through the youth ranks, Ejuke made his debut in 2020 and is now a seasoned Nigerian international with eight caps.

When Sevilla looks to make a comeback, he will be looking forward to bringing quality and depth to their attack.
