A suspected phony lawyer named Kenneth Nwuke is being held in the Umuahia Correctional Center by order of a magistrate court in Umuahia, Abia State.
Following a tip, the police detained the suspected fake attorney when he was posing as a lawyer at the Zone 9 Police Headquarters in Umuahia, representing a client in a murder case.
Vanguard learned that the purportedly fraudulent attorney asserted that he was given a power of attorney by the deceased’s father to represent him in the ongoing murder case at the Zone 9 Police Headquarters.
Commissioner of Police vs. Kenneth Nwuke, charge number U/449C/2024, was the Magistrate Court 4 where Nwuke was arraigned.
