Tunisia’s President Kais Saied was re-elected on Monday with 90.69 percent of the vote, according to the head of the electoral authority ISIE, who spoke on national television.
Saied, 66, won the election by a landslide, with rivals Ayachi Zemmal and Zouhair Maghzaoui receiving 7.3 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively, according to ISIE.
The turnout was 28.8 percent, the lowest rate since the country’s 2011 revolution.
